განცხადებაზე ხელმომწერი ორგანიზაციები ვეხმიანებით, მთავარი პროკურორის კანდიდატურის შერჩევის მიზნით, დღეს გამართულ საპროკურორო საბჭოს სხდომას და კიდევ ერთხელ გვსურს ხაზი გავუსვათ, რომ აუცილებელია პროცესი შეჩერდეს კონსტიტუციური ცვლილებების ამოქმედებამდე.

We, the Georgian Civil Society organizations, are addressing the North Atlantic Council to ask to consider political breakthrough toward the Georgia’s NATO membership on the upcoming NATO Summit in Brussels. Ten years ago, in Bucharest, NATO Heads of States and Governments made a decision that Georgia will become member of NATO.

კოალიციის წევრ ორგანიზაციებს მიგვაჩნია, რომ ახალი მთავარი პროკურორის არჩევა მოქმედი მანკიერი წესით, აზრს მოკლებულია და დამაზიანებელი იქნება არსებითად ახალი პროკურატურის სისტემაზე გადასვლის პროცესისთვის. ამდენად, საჭიროა ახალი მთავარი პროკურორის არჩევა მოხდეს რეფორმირებული, ახალ კონსტიტუციურ სტანდარტთან შესაბამისობაში მყოფი წესებით.

On June 12, the International Society for Fair elections and Democracy, together with the Georgian Young Lawyers’ Association and Transparency International – Georgia presented legislative recommendations for improving the electoral environment. Two separate packages of recommendations concern pending amendments to the Election Code and the Law of Georgia on Political Associations of Citizens, and aim to eliminate the gaps identified through monitoring of electoral processes and in practice. Recommendations of three organizations that monitor electoral processes concern composition of the electoral administration and applicable criteria, regulations on canvassing and use of administrative resources, electoral disputes, as well as the mobile ballot box list.

Failure of the authorities to adequately respond to the ongoing developments and thousands of people that have taken to the streets in protest are clear indication of a crisis situation in the country. The wave of public protest is not only about the problem of inadequate investigation of the Khorava Street incident, but more broadly, it is an expression of grievances that were building in society against the unfair justice system and social policy.

ჩვენ, ხელმომწერი ორგანიზაციები, ვეხმაურებით ხორავას ქუჩაზე მომხდარ არასრულწლოვანთა მკვლელობის საქმეს და საქართველოს პარლამენტის გადაწყვეტილებას დროებითი საგამოძიებო კომისიის შექმნის თაობაზე. მიგვაჩნია, რომ საგამოძიებო კომისიის მუშაობის დაწყებამდე, თანამდებობა უნდა დატოვოს საქართველოს მთავარმა პროკურორმა.

მნიშვნელოვანია, გადაიხედოს სასამართლო გადაწყვეტილებების აღსრულების არსებული მექანიზმი და მოხდეს მისი იმგვარი ფორმირება, რომ გამოირიცხოს სხვა უწყებების გავლენები რისკები გადაწყვეტილებათა აღსრულების პროცესში, ასევე უზრუნველყოფილი იყოს აღსრულების განმახორციელებელი ორგანოს ინსტიტუციური დამოუკიდებლობა.
