The Coalition for an Independent and Transparent Judiciary submitted legislative proposal to the Parliament of Georgia. The proposal aims at improvement of the grounds for disciplinary liability of judges and reforming the institution of an Independent Inspector.

The Coalition for an Independent and Transparent Judiciary is ready to assist civil society organizations in establishing internal organizational mechanisms to protect against sexual harassment. Such mechanisms will prevent the violation of women’s rights and will support access to justice for the victims of sexual harassment.

დაუშვებლად მიგვაჩნია ე.წ. „რელიგიური გრძნობების შეურაცხყოფის“ თავიდან აცილების მოტივით გამოხატვის თავისუფლების შეზღუდვა. გამოხატვის თავისუფლების ძირითად არსს წარმოადგენს სწორედ შესაძლებლობა, გვქონდეს მათ შორის კრიტიკული, შოკისმომგვრელი და თუნდაც შეურაცხმყოფელი აზრის გამოხატვის უფლება. რელიგიური გრძნობები კი (რომელიც ნებისმიერ შემთხვევაში სუბიექტური და ინდივიდუალურია) არ და ვერ იქნება ის საფუძველი, რომელიც გაამართლებს ამგვარ შეზღუდვას.

We urge Parliament to support the legislative initiative on gender quotas in its original form, as submitted by constituents to Parliament, because the alternative will only be introduced pro forma and will not work as an effective and substantial mechanism for increasing women’s participation.

ISFED monitored the pre-election period, Election Day, the runoffs and the post-election period of the local self-government elections nationwide with a large-scale monitoring mission and 1,299 accredited observers.

On March 19, the International Society for Fair Elections and Democracy (ISFED) presented the final report of monitoring of the 2017 local self-government elections. The report covers the ISFED’s key findings and trends of the pre-election, Election Day and post-election periods. The report also assesses the work of election administration and other key actors of the electoral process. Besides, ISFED presented the recommendations on the improvement of electoral system, legal framework and overall election environment.

On 13 March 2018, the European Platform for Democratic Elections (EPDE), was classified as "undesirable organization" by the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation. ISFED is the founding member of EDPE from Georgia.
