International Society for Fair Elections and Democracy (ISFED), Transparency International – Georgia and Georgian Young Lawyers Association held 16 round-table meetings throughout Georgia. Round-tables were held under the framework of an ongoing project “Raising Public Awareness on Electoral Reform 2013”, which is being implemented with the financial support of International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES) and United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

Pursuant to the amendments made to the Law on 2013 Rebpublican Budget of Adjara Autonomous Republic, budget income of Adjara A/R was increased with GEL 14722700 (fourteen million seven hundred twenty-two thousand and seven hundred), including GEL 13 554 400 (thirteen million five hundred fifty-four thousand and four hundred) allocated for infrastructure and social projects.

International Society for Fair Elections and Democracy (ISFED) started monitoring of Georgian print media in the pre-election period for 2013 presidential elections. Between July 15 and November 15 the organization will monitor seven Georgian editions: “Rezonansi”, “24 Saati”, “Akhali Taoba”, “Alia”, “Akhali Versia”, “Kviris Palitra” and “Asaval-Dasavali”.

The International Society for Fair Elections and Democracy (ISFED) presents its first pre-election monitoring report for the October 27, 2013 presidential elections, covering the period from July 1 through July 19, 2013. ISFED is carrying out the pre-election monitoring in all election districts of Georgia with 73 long-term observers

International Society for Fair Elections and Democracy (ISFED) presents the third report of post-election monitoring, focusing on political processes and dismissals in local self- governments, protest rallies and legal prosecutions instituted against self-government officials.

ISFED has studied the ongoing process of dismissals of employees from local self-governments following the 2012 parliamentary elections. Based on public information obtained by ISFED from all municipalities, there were total of 1790 employees dismissed from October 1, 2012 to February 28, 2013. Out of 69 municipalities, staff changes occurred in 54 Gamgeobas and 25 Sakrebulos.
